Kelly is a passionate, enthusiastic, and experienced teacher, having taught voice, guitar, and piano to students of all levels for over a decade. She has taught at Belmont University and Volunteer State Community College and completed her Masters in Commercial Voice Performance at Belmont University in 2015; she is currently pursuing her PhD in Musicology from the University of Michigan. She offers in-person lessons in the Ann Arbor area and virtual lessons to students all across the country. Her specialities in voice include singer-songwriter style and skills, including artistry, writing to suit your unique voice, and self-accompanying; popular music style/genre crossover; healthy touring vocal technique; and encouraging a fun, positive, mindful voice practice in all of her students!
Rates and New Student Form
Kelly offers virtual lessons, lessons in her Ann Arbor studio, and in-home lessons to students in or around Ann Arbor (within a 20 min drive). She teaches ages 10 and up for voice and guitar, and 6 and up for piano. She has limited teaching availability while school is in session, but normally teaches Mon-Thurs in the afternoons and early evenings.
